How much should I pay?

Here is my proposed sliding scale description for your booking reference:

  • You have plenty disposable income, can afford saving money and you have other financial/relational sources available to you (for example: owning property, rental/additional income, inheritance, good pension prospects, health/life insurance, benefitting from systemic privilege e.g. white, cis, able, coupled…)

  • You have some disposable income or other financial/relational resources available to you (for example: savings, someone who you can easily access for financial support for your wellbeing, inheritance/own property, no dependants, can re-divert spending towards treatment costs, benefitting from systemic privilege e.g. white, cis, able, coupled...)

  • I have a limited number of concessionary seats per week, so I am able to give you the closest available date for the concessionary rate on contact. Just send me either an email (mara.demetra@gmail.com) or direct message on Instagram (unearthing.bubbles) quoting: ‘What is your next available date for a …. (insert what type of session you are looking for) on …. (insert either lower resources or bursary rate) concessionary rate? ’.

The concessionary rates are based on trust and I will not ask for any proof, but please consider the sliding scale above regards your resources, as well as who I prioritise for concessionary rates below.

  • If you would like £30 from your contribution to go towards a Bursary Seat, please choose this option. This allows me to continue offering low cost sessions to those who need it.

Who do I prioritise for concessionary rates?

Based on my current experience and capacity, I am able to offer concessionary rates to those with less financial resources + based on the below:

  • Intersectionality (here is an animated 3 Minute Intersectionality 101 if you are not sure what that term means).

  • GSRD – Gender, Sex & Relationship Diversity (i.e. LGBTQIA and / or CNM / ENM).

  • Chronic illness & disability- experience in working with: fatigue, long covid, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, hypermobility, IBS, burn out

  • Neuro-divergence

  • Those who have experienced sexual violence

  • Working towards disrupting colonial harm in some way : e.g. climate and land back activists, prison and mental health abolition activist, decolonial practitioners, pleasure practitioners, sex workers and healers, disruptive creatives, community and co-operative housing…

What if I still do not know how much to pay?

When considering the price point, does it feel like it will leave you with a big financial strain? If so, it is probably best to go for a lower tiered pricing or consider free/community low cost somatic practices from organisation such as Healing Justice London and St Margaret House.

It is my intention to introduce group work in my own practice so to make it even more financially accessible.

What People Are Saying

Mara gave an amazing massage! I really appreciated Mara checking in regularly with my comfort levels, enjoyment, relaxation, and making any tweaks necessary. The whole atmosphere to me felt incredibly caring, with a lot of attention to detail given throughout, to create a calming and caring experience. Would thoroughly recommend :)

Mara is an amazing practitioner. They are incredibly knowledgable and gifted in holding space. I come away from our sessions feeling lighter at heart and more at home in my body. I have been able to carry that sense of calm through my life and I am a more balanced person today because of it. These sessions have been so valuable for me. I would highly recommend them.

A mindful treat (ment) ❤️ This is my third session with Mara and I can't wait to be back. Definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a massage to release tension, work on a certain area of the body or just enjoy a moment of self-care. 10/10!
