What does LGBTQIA+ friendly mean?
A lot of salons and therapy rooms are centred around the cis- and heteronormative experience and image. This might make us feel uncomfortable, not understood, or less than - which is the opposite of what a therapeutic experience should feel like.
As a trans non binary and queer person who has learned their practice through treating and holding space for their LGBTQIA+ family, I am passionate to hold and continuously develop safe therapeutic spaces and practices for my LGBTQIA+ community.
My treatments are:
trans friendly
using gender neutral language and pronouns (unless otherwise communicated)
consent-led and trauma aware (touch and clothing options can be adjusted throughout the treatment)
body neutral
compassionate
available at lower costs/ sliding scale
reflective
open to feedback and changes if within my ability/possibility
